Good job Mandi! This part was the strongest of this chapter. Kind of caught up the VHD-spirit again. I think the problem for the 2 first parts is that there are too much talking and too little narration. Also I think D is talking too much, as he usually presents himself as cold and aloof person, not bothering to answer all the questions people lay on him. So, maybe cutting off some of the scibber-scabber and adding more narration would do some good for the chapter. (Kind of taking yourself one more step further from the happenings.)

Hmm... what else was there that I was thinking of mentioning about the whole chapter... Oh, yeah. I think D is drawing his sword little bit too easily. As in the books he doesn't do it very lightly, and usually it ends up someone getting killed. You could make him use his emanating, scary aura for that drunken Shawn. (As the guy actually isn't that much of a opponent in that state.)

Otherwise, I cant wait to start reading the next chapter during the holidays.
